Meet Michelle - Your Dog Training Partner

A lifelong passion for dogs, paired with professional expertise to strengthen the human–canine bond.

My Story

From a young age, I knew I had a special connection with dogs. Growing up surrounded by animals, I learned early on that patience, consistency, and love are the keys to building trust with our canine companions.

My obsession with dogs in particular started in 2010 when I adopted Buddy, a Golden Retriever-Chow Mix puppy. He was headstrong and dog reactive, which led me to work on understanding how to help him. After overcoming his reactivity, he was able to go on many off leash hiking adventures, made plenty of dog friends, and even competed in Rally Obedience.

After years of volunteering with shelter dogs and working under an experienced trainer, I pursued professional certification and dedicated my career to helping dogs and their families thrive. What started as a childhood dream has become my life’s work.

I founded TrustLine Canine with a simple mission: to make professional, compassionate dog training accessible to every dog owner. Whether you’re struggling with a specific behavior issue or looking to build a strong foundation with a new puppy, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Outside of training, I share my home with two dogs, Nina and Loki. I enjoy hiking and sharing my love of dog sports with them. We also live with two cats, Bradford and Mittens, who are both dog savvy, confident cats.

Meet The Pack

Nina

Nina is a sweet Pitbull mix who loves everyone and everything. She has been my neutral helper dog for training reactive dogs. She loves pup cups, hiking with dog friends, playing fetch, and learning new tricks. With her love for learning, she has earned numerous trick titles, one lure coursing title, and achieved a Rally Obedience Championship title.

Loki

Loki is a sassy little Shiba Inu who is becoming a fun sport and helper dog. He is only a year old, but is already blossoming in his social skills with other dogs and people. Lure coursing, hiking, and playing with other dogs are his favorite activities.

Bradford & Mittens

These two are both dog savvy and sociable with everyone. They provide support for board & train dogs to help them come out of their shells or to assist in dogs learning not to chase cats.

Training Philosophy

My approach combines positive reinforcement with fair, consistent boundaries, focusing on clear communication, trust, and the dog’s overall well-being

Balanced Dog Training

My training philosophy is primarily positive reinforcement based where we use rewards (toys, treats, praise) to teach our dogs new behaviors. Fair, mild corrections are introduced to stop undesirable behavior if needed so they can be redirected to more positive behavior.

Individual Assessment

Every dog is unique. I take time to understand your dog's personality, history, and specific needs before creating a customized training plan.

Owner Education

Training doesn't stop when I leave. I equip you with the knowledge and techniques to continue reinforcing good behaviors at home.

Ethical Standards

I adhere to the highest ethical standards in the industry, prioritizing the well-being and dignity of every dog I work with.
